What is the EC-Council CRAGE Certification?
The Certified Responsible AI Governance and Ethics professional (C|RAGE) is part of EC-Council's Enterprise AI Credential Suite, sitting in the 'Govern' pillar of their ADG Framework. It addresses one of the most concrete business problems in AI deployment today: the growing gap between what organisations are doing with AI and what their regulators, clients, auditors, and employees expect them to demonstrate about how those AI systems operate and what safeguards are in place.
The EU AI Act came into effect in 2024 and its enforcement timelines are now active for high-risk AI systems. The NIST AI Risk Management Framework has become the reference standard for AI governance in the United States and is widely used in global procurement requirements. ISO 42001 — the international standard for AI management systems — is emerging as a key certification requirement for enterprise clients and government agencies.
CRAGE prepares professionals to work with these frameworks in practical environments — not just understand them theoretically, but implement governance structures, audit AI systems, and ensure compliance across organisations deploying AI at scale.
Beyond regulation, the programme also addresses real-world AI ethics challenges such as fairness in decision-making, transparency in AI outputs, accountability for AI-driven outcomes, and governance structures required to maintain responsible AI practices as systems evolve.
